Limiting access to certain web sites is a very nice feature in the core feature set of an operating system. Traditionally, operating systems relied on external devices such as firewalls with content filtration to block adult web content. Now it can be done within Leopard and Snow Leopard using predefined filters from Apple s servers. To limit access to web sites prefiltered by Apple, click the Content tab of the Parental Controls preference pane, and then click Try to limit access of adult web sites. This will automatically enable a web site filter that will block sites Apple has chosen as inappropriate due to adult content.
